| Posted 10/21/07 At this time, Portland Public Schools is looking for two school psychologists for this school year. The first opening is a temporary 1.0 position working with the Collaborative Services Team and second position is a 0.5 FTE. Both assignments are itinerants. Attached below is the description and instructions on how to apply to these positions. The School Psychologist, as a member of the Special Education Multidisciplinary Education Team, works with school personnel, parents and students in facilitating educational services for students. The School Psychologist assists in the assessment, eligibility and placement process for students referred for special education. In addition, the School Psychologist provides consultative services to both general education and special education personnel. The School Psychologist may also provide individual/group counseling services to students when appropriate. The successful applicant must hold or be eligible to hold a school psychologist endorsement through Teacher Standards and Practice Commission (TSPC).
