MissionThe Oregon School Psychologists Association provides leadership in creating a brighter future for all Oregon children through professional affiliation, collaborative problem-solving, and best practices. ServicesMembers of OSPA enjoy annual training conferences at reduced rates. We design these conferences to accomplish four goals: 1) Keep members' skills up to date with the latest evidence-based practices, 2) Provide Continuing Professional Development clock hours that are essential to license renewal, 3) Give all members - but particularly student members - a forum to present their research, and 4) Contribute to members' self-care plans by providing an opportunity for networking, camaraderie, and renewal. Members receive a subscription to the "OSPA Bulletin," our official newsletter. Members who leave the state often maintain their memberships to continue their subscriptions to this valuable source of information and communication. Members have access to electronic publishing. Designed specifically for their needs and convenience, this website maintains an archive of essential data, provides convenient on-line memebership applications and training conference registration, a web log (blog), and OSPATALK, the on-line listserver-based discussion group. Some information is available to the public, but only members have access to special features. Members have the opportunity to participate in governance. The will of the membership ultimately determines what OSPA will accomplish. Conference topics, policies, procedures, the annual budget - all of these and more result from member volunteerism. Whether you have an hour per year, an hour per month, or an hour per day to contribute, please step forward and participate in the improvement of the profession. OSPA can match your talents with a critical task that gives you the satisfaction of accomplishment!
